storyboards for practical directors Let's face it:everyone wants to get their money's worth on a production. The problem is that we often enter into projects with preconceived notions of what we actually need. If you're an independent or a student director, or you've just been on set a few times, you know that not everything has to be perfect to get the job done. Storyboards are one of those things. A storyboard is not meant to be a work of art. It is meant to help your cinematographer, your producers, and you understand your film, shot for shot. I am not the world's greatest artist. I am, however, a serviceable artist who understands film. I have a degree in Film & Television from UCLA and have boarded features, short films, and commercials in my time there and since. I can say with confidence that while what I draw is probably not something you want to hang on your wall, it will definitely work for you. I am available for in-person conference in the L.A. area, and also online for long-distance projects. Special rates available for students! |
